Honeycomb Ceramic Substrate is made of cordierite and it is used for car catalytic converter. It's merits of very low thermal expansion coefficient, high specific surface area, low air resistance, fast in temperature rising and unique structure which is perfect for car catalytic converter. Honeycomb Ceramic Substrate is coated with noble metals or rare earth to be catalyst, which is installed in the vehicle exhaust system, the most important outer purifier, which can be emitted by vehicle exhaust CO, HC and NOx and other harmful gases by oxidation and reduction reactions into harmless carbon dioxide, water and nitrogen.
Automobile exhaust gases are conventionally purified with a catalyst supported on a ceramic body able to withstand high temperatures. The preferred catalyst support structure is a honeycomb configuration which includes a multiplicity of unobstructed parallel channels sized to permit gas flow and bounded by thin ceramic walls. We can produce 100CPSI, 200CPSI, 400CPSI, 600CPSI can be in the shape of round, racetrack and ovral etc. It can be coated with the catalyst and the noble metal as the customers emission standards: Euro II, EuroIII and EuroIV etc.
